The Young Farmer Challenge is a competition of the talent, skills, techniques and safe work methods that Young Farmers use everyday for work.
Date Saturday 24th March, 2012
Presidents Arena 4 – 5pm. Teams to be marshalled at 3.30pm.
Entry $5.00 per Entrant – $20.00 per Team
2012 Young Farmers Challenge RULES
Entries close Monday 19th March, 2012
Prizes: Cash Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places
Conditions of entry: Male and female entrants must be aged between 15 – 30 years of age. Teams of four people must be entered.
The sub-committee reserves the right to exercise their discretion with respect to final competitor numbers and selection of competitors.
The competition Emphasis is placed on completing each Challenge with the best time but more importantly with the correct technique.
Challenges may include:
Mechanical and maintenance skills
Using farming machinery
Animal husbandry
Performing O H & S practices
Hay stacking skills
Fencing skills
The winning Camden Show team will have the opportunity to represent Camden in RAS Young Farmers Challenge at Sydney Show in April 2012.
