After 126 years, the Camden Show still plays an integral role in showcasing the many talents of our community members and educating show visitors on the importance that agriculture has played in our history and current times.

The Camden Show provides the opportunity for young people and families to become involved in a significant community event, ensuring its continued prosperity.

The 2012 Camden Show will provide an array of interactive educational activities and programmes suitable for all ages and interests.

The Education Section is proudly sponsored by Camden – Narellan Advertiser.

  • McDonald’s Schools Education Displays - local highschools showcase their students and produce through creating a display that tells the story of various agricultural products and the importance of our farmers.
  • Junior Rural Ambassador Competition - ten finalists aged 12-17 with agricultural and show interests are selected to learn more about the Camden Show through significant involvement in ‘behind the scenes’ show operations
  • Schools Scarecrow Competition - preschools, primary and high schools create scarecrows that represent “Sustainability for our Future” to feature in the Education area of the Show.
  • Young Farmers Challenge - a competition of the talent, skills, techniques and safe work methods that Young Farmers use everyday for work.
  • Pet Show - younger show patrons that may not have direct agricultural involvement are encouraged to become a Camden Show exhibitor at the Pet Show – and if they dont have a pet there is always the Best Presented Teddy Bear class!
